Traveling all the way from his mother country to another country to learn, empowering people by teaching them self-defense for free, managing “The Damini Project Sri Lanka” to fight against rape culture, spreading the art of JKD, Kali, Wing Chun and BJJ in his motherland by inviting international experts like Sifu Kirk Weicht. Only a highly dedicated and professional person can do this with highly passionate about helping others and bringing a change in the society. I am glad that I came across this wonderful person and was able to be a part of his journey. I met him while he traveled all the way to India to take part in the JKD Seminar by Sifu Harinder Singh Sabharwal to train with the expert himself. During his visit we trained together and I was highly impressed by his skills and attitude towards learning the art. Not only he possesses skills and a great ability to teach, He also carries a wonderful heart and soul which makes him a complete warrior. I will highly recommend Tithira for anyone, who wants to change their life by learning Martial Arts and Fitness. I met Sifu Tithira on his visit to India back in 2014. Sifu Tithira is one of the finest instructors I have ever met and is a great friend. He is a true martial artist who is passionate about teaching. You can tell he really cares about his students and follows their progress quietly but diligently. A level of expertise that you won’t find anywhere else. Besides having an authentic learning experience, his way of breaking down a complex art into simple concepts is simply amazing. Moreover his efforts in teaching.Women free self defense is highly commendable. So whether your goal is to learn martial arts or feel safer walking the streets, or just to get some exercise and lose some weight, you will find a good home here. I highly recommend anyone of any age and background to visit this school and be addicted for life.

I joined the School Of Jeet Kune Do because there was a threat to my life and i needed to be able to protect myself. Not only have i learnt self defense but also a completely different way of life for the better. I got introduced to Kettlebell( KB) training in 2013 at a gym in London.I got so attracted to KB especially because of KB Swing exercise. To give you some motivation I moved from 101kg to 80kg by KB training and following the right diet! I had to take many sessions with a PT(Personal Trainer) to learn the technique. But after doing this regularly I noticed some pains in my lower back and knees hence wanted to check the technique with some other trainers too. I went to some certified KB instructors in the UK. Even after following their instructions I still did not see much improvement. Then I recently noticed some videos and pictures of Sifu Tithira with KBs . I had a chat with him over social media and explained my situation. He asked me to send a video of mine performing KB swings. He spotted my mistakes instantly and gave me instructions to make corrections of form. After following his instructions it made a big different in terms of pains and also the general feeling of performing the exercise. I really felt the right momentum of KB swings! It is a great exercise when doing it with the right technique. I’m so thankful to Sifu Tithira about teaching me the right technique and helping me to continue my exercise routine with KBs. He is so enthusiastic about KB training and has practical knowledge of it. I do highly recommend him for anyone looking to learn KB training.

Today I joined the seminar in Galle and I loved every minute of it!! My only regret is that I was late and so I missed some parts of the training. The three guys running the event are one of a kind! Very professional,great instruction given, friendly.They are very motivated and very good at what they do. You feel all the time you are in good hands.If i had to resume my experience today at the seminar in one word I would say it was EMPOWERING.Really really cool stuff we learnt .Wish you guys all the very best and keep doing the great work. I had several years of experience in martial arts before I went to this place. But after joining this class only I understood how little my understanding in self defense is. Sifu Tithira and instructor Prageeth have a great knowledge and a lot of experience in JKD and several other martial arts. Everything I learned here were very technical and Sifu Tithira gave a reason for everything. I can say that I got a great training and a wide understanding about self defense from School of Jeet Kune Do. I also experienced a great deal of attitude development after I joined here. If you want to learn true self defense, this is the best place in Sri Lanka.

I had a brilliant opportunity to train with Tithi (thats what we call him) when he came to India for Shifu Harinder singh seminar in 2014. Tithi has profound knowledge and experience in the area of JKD and wing chun and at the same time, its a great martial artist at heart. He is humble and at the same, truely strong in the spirits of JKD. Equally jovial, Tithi is a great friend when it comes to helping me with my doubts in wing chun. I have learnt a lot from the experiences he has shared in all these years. I would say one thing – if you are in Sri Lanka, dont miss the chance to train with Tithi. Brilliance personified.

Once you start you can’t stop! I started attending classes at The Shed in Ladies Self Defense, facilitated by instructors from School of JKD, once a week in January this year; and enjoyed every bit of it from day one. I still attend the same class, and have no plan on quitting any time soon. In fact, I have now upped the frequency to thrice a week. Am now at a point where I look forward to class so much, that I get very disappointed if I am unable to attend for any reason. I’ve started feeling different now– more confident and sure of myself, more energetic, and am experiencing increased levels of strength and stamina. Mind you, the effects are not just physical –higher levels of concentration and better control over emotions are effects as well.

The instructors are very very professional, patient and always full of energy. Willing to explain concepts and moves over and over should we not understand, and that too to each person individually should the need arise. I highly recommend this facility to anyone considering joining. Definitely rating 5 stars!
